IT Hardware Decommissioning

When you’ve decided to decommission your end-of-use servers and server equipment, you need a partner that can manage the take-out and removal flawlessly. We specialize in the physical take-out of your hardware from either your sever room, data center or co-Location Centers. Our company can work with you to un-rack the server equipment. This includes removing cable ladders and cabling, and decoupling cabinets, if necessary, all with safety and efficiency.

Bass also has experience in the complete tear-down when a decision has been made to fully decommission your data center from the floor to the ceiling. We transport most data centers in 53’ trucks depending on quantity of cabinets to our facility, where the equipment will be staged in a designated area for processing. We can be there to manage the process and take the worry away from you, be it one cabinet or two hundred cabinets. We handle all of the logistics of every project, including on-site evaluations if needed. You can be confident that the process will be seamless.

Besides responsibly physically removing your hardware from your location, most importantly, we take data security seriously. We will check and pull all hard drives and media containing devices for data destruction to be stored in our secure area. All data will be wiped or physically destroyed based on NIST 800-88 standards.

We also evaluate and process your hardware to maximize a residual return back to you, our customer, combined with an environmental focus on our ability to reuse, refurbish and recycle IT equipment.
